A struggling stand-up comedian thinks he's stumbled into the best night of his life when an intriguing woman approaches him after a show. What begins as a charming late-night romance slowly reveals itself to be something far stranger.

CASTING ROLES

THE COMEDIAN (Male, 28–40)

A self-deprecating stand-up comic. Intelligent, skeptical, and quick-witted. He uses humor to navigate everything, especially discomfort. Must be able to balance comedy and vulnerability.

THE WOMAN (Female, 25–35)

Confident, charismatic, and effortlessly charming. Warm, funny, and disarming. Must be able to conceal deeper intentions beneath an inviting exterior.

“I'm sorry, what was your name again?”

WOMAN

“You forgot already?”

COMEDIAN

“Okay, now I'm embarrassed.”

WOMAN

“You don't remember?”

COMEDIAN

“Listen, I've spent years conducting highly unethical experiments on my memory.”

WOMAN

“That's okay.”

COMEDIAN

“What is?”

WOMAN

“Forgetting.”

COMEDIAN

“You know what's weird? I swear I knew it five minutes ago.”

WOMAN

“Maybe the drinks are too strong”

COMEDIAN

“Maybe your name is too weak”

WOMAN

“You'll make a joke out of anything huh?”

COMEDIAN

“Makes living easier”
